About Institution

 S&T Training Centre is located at Podanur, popularly known as poor man’s Ooty due to its cool and pleasant climate throughout the year. Located in the shadow of Western Ghats, straight in the Palghat gap, Podanur is blessed with cool breeze that blows through this narrow mountain pass. Located in an atmosphere facilitating learning, this training centre is the Zonal training centre as S&T department of Southern and South Western Railway and one among the main training centres of Indian Railway catering to the training needs of Group C and D of Signal and Telecommunication Department.
